E30 Secondary Caliper Mount Kit (OE Caliper Style)

Our “OE style” E30 Secondary Caliper Mount Kit is an assembly which allows the easy adaptation of Factory E30 Brake Calipers for use as a secondary rear braking system. This kit allows the installer to utilize a second set of Factory e30 Calipers for drifting, staging or emergency. Our kit will allow you to retain your factory mechanical e-brake system as needed. The goal during the designing of this kit was to produce a mounting system for Secondary Calipers which would NOT require the removal of the rear trailing arms, axles, hubs or wheel bearings for installation.

Construction:

The Caliper Mounting Brackets included in this kit are CNC machined from solid billets of 6061-T6 Aluminum. Upon installation the Factory Caliper is fastened in its factory position through the new Secondary Caliper Bracket. This bracket will locate and mount the Secondary Caliper. A Secondary Mounting Ear is included with the kit. This steel tab is laser cut to properly fit the profile of the trailing arm in the location it will be welded to during installation. This tab is tapped with the same thread as the Factory Calipers in order to retain consistent hardware throughout your rear brake set-up.

• Grade 12.9 Socket Head Hardware Set (Includes new hardware for the Factory Calipers, Secondary Calipers and the Secondary Mount Ears)
• BRAKE CALIPERS ARE NOT INCLUDED

Notes: 

This kit requires a portion of the factory dust shield to be trimmed in order to provide space for the Second Caliper. The included “Secondary Ear” must be welded to each trailing arm during installation. This ear is located via the billet Caliper Bracket which assembles through the Factory Caliper mounting lugs. The design of the Caliper Bracket ensures correct positioning of the new mounting tab without the need of a fixture. Installation of this kit can be completed without the disassembly of any rear end components.
