Our 2nd generation billet Hydraulic Handbrake takes our original no-limit design and took all design aspects further. Every aspect of these units was perfected to eliminate any play or improper motion of the master cylinder’s actuation. The fit and finish of all components used in these assemblies are flawless to ensure that the completed product looks as good as it functions.
NOTE:
This product does NOT include a Master Cylinder
Main Body:
The lower body is CNC laser cut and formed from T304 Stainless Steel. The master cylinder mating face is cut from T304 then milled to mate perfectly with the Main Body. The mating seams are TIG welded by hand. Standard and Compact Wilwood master cylinder sizes and variants are available.
Handle Assembly:
The one-piece handle body is milled from billet 6061-T6 aluminum. An anodize surface treatment is applied to finish the handle. The lower joint mating the handle to the body is taken care of by two sealed bearings pressed onto a 304 Stainless Shaft. The Mating joint between the master cylinder and the handle consists of a two-piece pin system to properly encapsulate the spherical rod-end. This double shear joint ensures no wear will occur over time.
Handle Knob:
The Handle Knob is CNC machined from solid Delrin. The knob is fastened through the top of the main handle. The top of the knob is finished with a CNC machined and anodized cap. We currently are only offering black Delrin Knobs. Variations of the Knob will be offered in the coming months.
Hardware:
All hardware utilized in these handbrakes is stainless. The two retaining ring variants used are 400 series stainless. The button head fasteners mating the Lower Handle to the Main Body are 18-8 stainless. For mating the master cylinder to the Main Body, custom 303 stainless studs were turned, as the perfect size is not available off the shelf. The hex nuts coupled with the master cylinder studs are 316 stainless.
The total height of these units in standard form is approximately 390mm / 15-3/8″ (depending on master cylinder rod adjustment).
