Based off the components used in our original Hydraulic Handbrake, this unit was designed and manufactured with no expense spared.  The Remote Mount Handbrake features segregated Actuation Handle and Master Cylinder mounting. This allows the Master Cylinder location and brake line routing to be customized.

NOTE: This product does NOT include a Master Cylinder.

Mounting Bodies: Both Mounting Bodies used in this assembly are CNC laser cut and formed from T304 Stainless Steel. The master cylinder mating face is cut from T304 then milled to mate perfectly within the Mounting Body. The mating seams are TIG welded by hand. Standard and Compact Wilwood master cylinder sizes and variants are available.

Lower Handle Assembly: The lower handle body is milled from billet 6061-T6 aluminum. A surface treatment of clear anodize is applied to finish the lower body. The lower joint mating the handle to the body is taken care of by two sealed bearings pressed onto a 303 Stainless Shaft. The Mating joint between the master cylinder and the handle consists of a 303 Stainless Steel pin and hardened revolute bushings. This double shear joint ensures no wear will occur over time.

Upper Handle Assembly: The upper handle and knob are both removable and interchangeable. The handles are CNC machined from 6061-T6 and are finished with a clear anodize treatment. The knob options are turned from either white or black Acetal.​

Push-rod: The linkage Push-rod for this set-up is comprised of two solid-turned 304 Stainless threaded inserts and a cut-to-length thin wall 304 Polished Stainless Tube. This solution maintains rigidity in the cylinder actuation while ensuring unnecessary weight is not added to the assembly. The Linkage Tube can be cut to any length prior to welding in the inserts. This allows any assembly length to be achieved. This product can be purchased without the stainless tubing and sourced locally by the customer if desired, the threaded inserts are included as standard.

NOTE: If this product is purchased with Polished Linkage Rod, it must be cut and welded by purchaser. Custom finished rod assemblies can be produced upon customer request. Please contact us if a rod length greater than 3 feet is required.

Hardware: All hardware utilized in these handbrakes is stainless. The three retaining ring variants used are 400 series stainless. The button head fasteners mating the Lower Handle to the Main Body are 18-8 stainless. For mating the master cylinder to the Main Body, custom 303 stainless studs were turned, as the perfect size is not available off the shelf. The hex nuts coupled with the master cylinder studs are 316 stainless.

The total height of these units in standard form is approximately 390mm (depending on master cylinder rod adjustment).

Custom handles and knobs can be produced upon customer request. The standard handle length is 260mm. Special order, raw billet units can be provided (no anodizing on aluminum components).
