Our E30 Rear Strut Tower Reinforcement Boxes are designed for the purpose of increasing strength and rigidity in the rear strut tower area of the e30 uni-body. These boxes are tailored perfectly to each of the e30 rear towers and can be welded into the chassis upon cage building or “true coil-over” preparation. Each box is cut and formed from a single piece of material, which reduces the amount of welding required to fit these and increases the towers’ strength. Upon fitting, the factory strut tower material can either be left in place or cut away behind the welded box. These boxes locate using the factory rear strut hardware holes. The inward facing faces of these boxes, once dropped into place are both completely vertical and parallel with the car creating a usable reference point for cage building or other chassis work.
Manufacturing:
These boxes are CNC laser cut from .120″ mild steel sheet. The cut patterns are then CNC formed to exact design dimensions. A relief cut is performed along the upper flange to prevent warping of the centre hole when forming.
Notes:
These reinforcement boxes must be installed by a competent fabricator. All areas where these reinforcements meet the chassis for welding must be prepared properly on both sides prior to welding. It is up to the fabricator/installer to verify that any chassis modifications made meet the regulations of any event rule book the vehicle is subject to.
